ISIEMS

The 17th International Symposium on the Interaction of the Effects of Munitions with Structures (17th ISIEMS) will be held in October 2017, 16 - 20 at the Dorint Parkhotel in Bad Neuenahr, Germany.

The symposium builds on previous meetings held in United States of America (organized by DTRA) and Germany (organized by Federal Office of Bundeswehr Infrastructure, Environmental Protection and Services, former Armed Forces Office).

ISIEMS addresses all aspects of the response of civil engineering structures and materials to explosive loading. Scientists, engineers and other experts or personnel working in the technical areas of interest are invited to participate in and contribute to the symposium.

90 Abstracts that fall into the broad topic area of weapons effects, structural and equipment response and material and structural modeling were accepted for 30 sessions. Three session blocks will be held parallel every day.
